Facebook Announces Cryptocurrency

After much speculation and debate across the crypto community, the word is now out: Facebook Libra is coming.

Facebook will launch the Calibra Consortium to independently manage and run the blockchain that will run Libra, the new cryptocurrency.

Libra is expected to launch early next year.
